This week, was Children's Mental Health Week. We took time to discuss and record ways to keep our bodies, minds, and spirits well. We thought sleep, vegetables, fruit, water, exercise, love, hugs, thinking, learning, talking, friends, pets, and family, were all important to help us feel well.
We did some mindful eating. We had a cookie and explored it with all our senses. Before we ate it we talked about how it looked, how it felt, how it smelt, and the sound it made when we snapped it. We felt the texture on our lips and in our mouths. We shared how it tasted and the sounds we heard as we ate it.
We used some videos to help us to focus and breathe deeply.
