Full Opening of School - September Update
Whilst we are in the early stages of planning as a school, essentially the message that we would like to convey is that Holbeach Primary School will be open to all students, in all year groups, full time in September. Term begins for the children on Monday 7th September.
The school is in the process of reviewing the guidance from Public Heath England and the Department of Education which confirms that the prevalence of COVID-19 has decreased, the NHS Test and Trace is up and running and there is now a better understanding of how to minimise the risk of catching the virus.
As a school, we must continue to put in place strategies to minimise the risk of transmission. However, returning to school is vital for children’s education and well-being. Returning to school will also remove the barrier of childcare so that parents can return to work. The benefits of being back in school outweigh the low risk that children will catch COVID-19.
By having the children back in school, we start to return to normal life for both the school and you, as families. At all times we will follow DfE guidance so that we can be confident that we are managing the risk effectively and in line with Public Health England advice.
We will continue to update parents by email and via the website.
Please continue to look after yourselves and each other.
