On Wednesday 15th November Holbeach had a very special visit from athlete Courtney Orange.

Courtney is from Zimbabwe and took up gymnastics at 7 years old. Courtney began pursuing his Olympic dreams in London and competed in the 2002 Commonwealth Games, before a knee injury forced him to quit his professional career as a gymnast. Courtney was then discovered by talent scouts as a fantastic dancer and went on to perform on stage for top music stars. Courtney now enjoys working as a wellbeing motivator.

The children loved Courtney's fitness circuit and really enjoyed moving their bodies and having fun with their friends. After the circuit Courtney gave an inspiring assembly to the whole school where he demonstrated some incredible gymnastics and dance moves! Courtney had a very important message for the children, he taught them to always tell themselves "I can do it" especially when they are finding something particularly challenging.

Thank you to Courtney for coming to Holbeach and inspiring us all with his positive and hardworking outlook on life.

We will soon be finding out how much we have raised as a school. Thank you so much for the generosity of your families and friends, this was a well supported event and a day the children will always remember!
