Our school journey got off to a tremendous start today. We arrived in Portsmouth just in time for lunch and, afterwards, spent an hour enjoying the seafront park. We boarded the ferry just before 4pm, and the journey was invigorating, with the refreshing sea breeze keeping us cool.

After arriving at the hotel and settling into our rooms, we enjoyed a delicious dinner. Empty plates and full bellies showed that dinner was a resounding success! We then spent an hour on the beach, paddling and watching the sun set on our first day.

We are “having the time of our lives!”—to quote Amelia. Exhausted but excited, we fell into bed, full of thoughts about the fun we’ll have tomorrow.
