Our Year 5 pupils have been making the most of our school library. As 2026 is the Year of Reading for Pleasure, it was great to see children choosing books they love and sharing recommendations with friends. Reading for pleasure builds imagination, vocabulary and confidence – but most importantly, it builds a lifelong love of stories. These moments of calm, curiosity and connection remind us just how powerful a good book can be.
