Pearlies and planting

We’ve been lucky enough to enjoy another fun-filled and busy week in Nursery!

On Monday, we were very excited to welcome some special visitors, the Pearly Queen of Greenwich and the Pearly King of Bromley. They showed us their beautiful pearly outfits and talked to us about some of the pictures and designs on them. We even learned how to bow and curtsey properly, which was lots of fun!

We have continued to water our cress… and each other! The cress is now starting to sprout, and the salad and marigold seeds we planted last week are slowly beginning to pop through the soil. It’s been very exciting to see them grow.

We were also given some tiny baby tomato plants, which we carefully separated into bigger plots to give them plenty of room to grow strong and healthy.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated items to support our garden, we really appreciate it.

We would continue to warmly welcome donations of empty 4‑pint milk bottles, seeds, soil, or plants if anyone is able to help.

Well done, Nursery, for another fantastic week of learning and growing! 🌱😊
