This week in Reception we have been enjoying the story 'I Want My Hat Back' by Jon Klassen. The children have loved exploring the story and have been busy writing and drawing bears. We also created our own puppets and used them to retell the story, finishing the week with a puppet show of our own.

In phonics we have learnt the sounds qu, ch and sh. The children have been practising hearing, recognising and using these sounds in words through lots of fun activities.

In maths we have been looking at different amounts and using the language more, fewer and equal. The children have enjoyed comparing groups of objects and explaining their ideas.

Next week we will be reading Supertato and talking about all things healthy. We are really looking forward to another exciting week of learning.
