This week we have been doing our best to stay cool during the hot weather while still having lots of fun! The children have enjoyed plenty of water play, relaxing foot spas and using their imaginations in our very own ice cream shop. We even had a special surprise when everyone enjoyed a real ice lolly, which was the perfect way to cool down on such warm days.

Alongside all the fun, we have been learning about how to keep ourselves safe in the sun. We talked about the importance of drinking lots of water to stay hydrated, wearing cool clothing and hats to protect ourselves, and moving more slowly when it is very hot. The children showed a great understanding of why these things help to keep us healthy and safe.

We have been so impressed with how sensible the children have been during the heatwave. They have remembered to drink regularly, seek out the shade when needed and look after one another. We are incredibly proud of how well they have adapted to the warmer weather while continuing to enjoy their learning and play.

As we head into our final weeks together, we are looking forward to making lots more special memories!
