In Year 5, we were lucky enough to have to have lots of different visitors to tell us all about life in Australia!

We had Martha's mum and uncle who has lived in Australia for 20 years. They told us about the natural and human geography of the country and about some of the amazing animals that can be found there. They brought us different bank notes and crocodile teeth jewellery to look at and also a delicious treat called a pavlova to eat!

We also had Sarah (Wren's mum) who grew up in Australia. She told us some more about the geography and animals of Australia but also about her childhood there. She read us a lovely book called Possum Magic where the different animals of Australia try some of the foods that we have tried this week. She brought a traditional Australian biscuit called Anzac biscuits - they were great!

Thank you again to our visitors for giving us so much information and answering all of our questions (as well as all the wonderful, homemade treats!)
