Celebrating Culture Week: Exploring Eritrea
Our class enjoyed a wonderful Culture Week, where we had the opportunity to learn about the beautiful country of Eritrea. Throughout the week, the children explored Eritrean culture, traditions, food, music and daily life through a range of engaging activities.
The children showed great enthusiasm and curiosity as they learned about the country's history, geography and customs. They enjoyed sharing their own experiences and discussing the similarities and differences between cultures around the world.
One of the highlights of the week was our special cultural feast. The children had the opportunity to taste a variety of delicious foods and celebrate together as a class. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the experience and learning about the importance of food in bringing communities together.
We were also delighted to see so many children dressed in traditional clothing or outfits representing their own culture and heritage. The classroom was filled with colour, pride and excitement as the children shared and celebrated what makes them unique.
Culture Week was a fantastic opportunity to promote understanding, respect and appreciation of different cultures. We are very proud of how enthusiastically the children participated and the respect they showed for one another's backgrounds and traditions.
Well done, everyone, for making Culture Week such a memorable and enjoyable experience!
