As part of our celebration of Black History, we visited Catford Theatre to experience the 'Windrush Front Room'.

We spent the afternoon with Tony, whose parents were part of tHe Windrush Generation.

Tony told us about the journey his parents made from the Caribbean and what life was like when they settled here in South East London.

Tony then took us on a tour of the objects in the front room.

We encountered plenty of objects we didn't recognise.

We were surprised by how may objects we did recognise because we have seen them in our Grandparents' homes too!
