in Year 2, as part of our Black History Month celebrations, we have been learning about Claudia Jones. She was an important civil rights activist and journalist who founded the first major Caribbean carnival in London (Notting Hill Carnival), which helped bring communities together and celebrate Caribbean culture.

To help us learn more, Zion kindly brought in a beautiful carnival headpiece made by his uncle especially for the occasion! Zion spoke clearly and confidently, sharing lots of interesting facts with the class, and even led a short Q&A session where he answered questions from his classmates.
