6F Science – Classification Charts

In Science, we are going to be classifying and sorting animals depending on their characteristics and habitats.

To practise creating classification charts and forming scientific questions, we classified sweets.

We asked questions which could only have an answer of ‘yes’ or ‘no’ (it was harder than we thought). Also, the answers to our questions couldn’t be based upon opinion – ‘Is it small?’ or ‘Is it delicious?’.

We considered the shape, structure, colour and size of the sweets when classifying them.
