What a day at Joss Bay!
We had sun, sand, sea, seagulls, and showers!
A huge thank you to all the Red Class family members who came with us, we couldn’t do it without you.
We had a fantastic time testing out the new sandpit!
Last week, we learnt all about octopi.
Did you know they have 3 hearts and 9 brains!

We made amazing octopi.
This week, we are learning all about sharks.
Did you know sharks don’t chew?
We have been reading Shark in the park, we went on our own shark hunt.
Do you remember how many we found?
We learnt all about Afghanistan.
We tasted pomegranates and dried apricots.
We had a story in Pashto.
We made kites and flew them in the playground.
We made Gosh-e fil (Elephant ears)
We shared our learning with our friends in Nursery.
We wore traditional and celebration clothes and shared food from home.
On Wednesday 26th May at 3:30pm, there will be an exciting opportunity to go and meet one of our Reception author/illustrator focuses- Dapo Adeola.
It’s free and you don’t need to book- just turn up and meet the creators of Rocket! If you have one, you can take your copy of one of their books to be signed or even buy their new book ‘Speak Up’.
