Year 6 Home Learning 16/03/23
In Year 6, we have been studying the wonderful poem ‘Windrush Child’ written by John Agard. It recalls the journey made by thousands of Caribbean children and their families who travelled to Britain as part of the Windrush Generation between 1948 and 1971. On Friday, we were joined by Leonie Noel (also known as Mr Noel’s mum!), who came to share her experience of that very same journey. The children of Year 6 were able to ask Leonie questions that they had prepared and we listened to Leonie’s unique experience of travelling to, and settling in, Britain.

As part of our World Book Day celebrations, 4A and 6W buddied up to read together in the library. This was great opportunity to make new friends and read together! Thank you for having us join you, 6W!
