We finished of our electricity topic by creating our own switches using materials that conduct the electric current. We had to think about how to make sure the switches could be turned on and off easily.

We have now finished making our clay mask, they are ready to go off to the kiln to be fired for the first time before we glaze them.

We enjoyed spending lunchtime with the rest of the school celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

We looked at different balances. We started out with two person balances and then moved on to three person balances. We had to be very coordinated getting into position!

We have been finding equivalent fractions and simplifying fractions this week.

We need to be able to multiply and divide the numerator and denominator by the same amount to convert the fraction.

It’s another reason why knowing all our times tables is so important for most other areas of Maths!
