This term we looked at the painting process. We started by sketching pictures of flowers and then thinking about how we can show different shades of colour using chalk and charcoal. We then practised mixing colours carefully, before creating our final painting of a flower.

What an active day 3B had!
We competed in lots of different events in the morning, testing our throwing, dribbling, running and jumping skills. In the afternoon, we took part in races on the track. Well done everyone for taking part!
Food Technology
3B designed and made a savory dish this week, basing their work on a recipe for Woolton pie, a dish popular during wartime since it was made from non-rationed food.
We tasted the ingredients to see which we liked, before developing and evaluating our own version of the pie.

Sports Week!
It’s sports week next week! Practise your throwing, jumping and running! You could also:
Write a biography of your favourite sportsperson or explain the rules of your favourite sport.
Read a few pages of a book. Sort the past tense verbs into regular (ends with ‘ed’) and irregular (doesn’t end in ‘ed’)
We’ll have a times table quiz next week. Which ones do you find tricky? Practise them!
