“I don’t like it, she’s sad.”

“She’s crying.”

“Her chest is a fire.”

This week in Red Class we’re going ‘Into The Woods’, so we used this picture by Chris Ofili to inspire our drawings of trees.

We decided not to use a special ingredient Chris Ofili has used in the past, if you don’t know what it is ask Red Class.

“I drawed it, that’s beautiful! Yeah! Yahoo! That’s beautiful.”

Paper Weaving

Last week we looked at hot and cold colours. Today we learned how to weave paper. We used either hot or cold colours for our weaving.

First we created the weft – the part held in tension (frame). We did this by folding card and cutting into lines into it.

Then we used the strips of paper for the weft – the part that is woven through the frame in an over and under pattern.
