Today, 6F travelled into Central London to sketch some of the buildings. We are going to use these sketches to make prints back in the classroom.
We sketched the Gerkin, the Walkie Talkie, the Cheese Grater, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, City Hall, StPaul’s Cathedral, the Oxo Tower and Blackfriars Bridge.
We even had time for some bubbles outside the Tate Modern!
We have been planted sunflower seeds and thinning out our crops! Thanks for the great photos Paige!
This week, we experimented with pastels. We blended two colours together and thought of a name for the colour we made. It was great, messy fun!
In Art, we have been continuing to make our models of tightrope walkers.
Today we attached our wire outlines to the base, added muscle with newspaper and we have now started adding Modroc to create the hard outer layer.
Which parts did you find difficult? Which did you enjoy?
