A mnemonic is a way of remembering the spelling of tricky words. For example, because = Big Elephants Can Always Understand Small Elephants. Think of some mnemonics for words you find tricky!

Next week we’ll practise words starting with ’wr’ that sound like /r/ such as write, wrong and wrap. Can you think of any more?

We have been learning about flight; can you make a paper spinner? Experiment with making the best spinner – what is the best material? Card? Paper? Newspaper? What happens if you make the ‘wings’ longer or shorter?
