We visited The Shard! This week do some home learning linked to The Shard. You could:
Write an adventure story with The Shard as its setting.
Write a fact sheet about the Shard.
Make a model or draw a picture of The Shard or what you could see from The Shard.
Next week we’ll be making a story based on Jack and the Beanstalk. Practise these spellings:
swapped, threw, looked, climbed, locked, crept, chopped, marched
beans, castle, giant, beanstalk, axe
Continue to learn the 6 times table!
Our key author is Dick King Smith. What can you find out about him? If you have read one of his books, you could write a book review.
Can you make a story which includes all these words?
Revise the 10, 2, 3, and 5 times tables. How fast can you say them in order and out of order?
3C, We have opened all the windows on the advent calendar, so it must be time for the holiday break. Have a peaceful holiday and see you all again in the new year. Ms Chambers x
Please can you bring any items of clothing you have for costumes for our play on Monday 16th December in a bag please. Thank you for your help!
Year 3 Team
Following feedback from parents and carers, we are planning to improve the format of our end-of-year reports about the children. We would really appreciate your input. Would you be interested in taking part in a small working party in the new year to discuss ideas?
Please leave your name; your child’s name and class; and your contact details with Reception .
I look forward to hearing from you.
Ms Kate Chambers
We will be sending home information about costumes today. Please provide as much of the costume as you are able. If you have any extra items that you think would be useful for another child or another costume, please send them in ASAP. We need items to make the pupils look like Victorians or part of the Nativity.
Thank you for your support!
