YEAR 3 HOME LEARNING
13th June 2019
We have been learning about growing vegetables. The next time you go to a shop look at where different foods come from. You could make a table to show your findings.
How many adverbs do you know with the suffix –ly?
Create a list e.g. happily, softly…
Practise the 7 times table.
We looked at some of the traditional games that children played with at the time of World War Two. We enjoyed playing and finding out what our favourites were!
3B Had an exciting day at Horton Kirby, learning all about the life of an Evacuee during World War Two.
We learned some information about the history of the village during the War and pretended that we were children from that period of history. We were taught a lesson in the 1940’s style, but had to leave the classroom when the air raid siren went!
After visiting the air raid shelter, we went for a walk around the village, before trying out some traditional games in the playground.
We have been writing about our favourite books. Choose a book and write a book review.
How many words do you know with the suffix –ment or –ness?
Create a list e.g. enjoyment, happiness…
Show a grown-up how you would solve this multiplication using dienes!
