We took in a birds eye view of London on the Greenwich Air Line!

Latest News from Holbeach Primary School
This week in PE, we have learned three dance steps and we have worked in teams to create a routine that represents a London landmark. We were able to use our knowledge about gymnastics. We had to put all our moves together so that they would match the song. Also, we were very creative with our moves and we worked hard to make sure we were all synchronized.
At the end of the lesson, we performed with our teams for the class and they had to guess the landmark we chose to represent. It was so much fun and we were all not only great dancers, but also a good audience!
Performing was one of the hardest parts of the lesson, but we all felt so happy and proud of ourselves after we did it 🙂
In English, we have been reading and writing non-chronological reports about London.
We noticed that in lots of the books, the authors had used brackets, commas and dashes when adding in extra information. So we decided to learn about what parenthesis is and why it’s used.
In groups, we had a go at putting parenthesis into our own sentences.
And we’re going to use them this week when we write our non-chronological reports!

We have had a wonderful time on the Isle of Wight but it’s time to go home to see our parents and sleep in our own beds! We will have so many brilliant memories of this time and we are all so happy that we were able to go after such a difficult year.
Goodbye Isle of Wight!
Earlier today, Year 6 had an exciting experience at Airthrill, London’s coolest inflatable assault course for children. We laughed, bounced, climbed walls, crawled through tunnels, wobbled , fell and slid our way through to the finish of the course.
We have had a fantastic last day!
We went to a 4D cinema, met some peacocks, went on an amazing adventure playtime, rode a pirate ship and tobogganed down a hill.
Tonight, we had a disco!
DJ Fred played some great tunes and we danced for hours!
We’ve had a great time and we’re looking forward to Robin Hill and then the journey home. See you tomorrow!
