We want you to design a theme park. Watch this presentation to find out what you need to do.

These are the design sheets you will need or you can work on a sheet or plain paper if you prefer.

Here are some designs created by children inspire you. We are looking forward to seeing what marvellous creations you come up with. Maybe you could even build a model of your park! πŸ™‚

Summer Road Safety

Click on the link below to learn about road safety with Super Cat. You might want to make notes as you read as they will come in handy later.

Task 1 – Create a road safety poster to display in a Year 4 class. What do children need to know about being safe when they need to cross the road?

Task 2 – Create a road safety quiz with 10 questions that will test the road safety knowledge of a child from Year 4. Use the information in the presentation for question ideas if you get stuck.

Year 5 & Year 6 Long Distance Learning 13.07.2020

Good Morning Year 5 and Year 6,

Hope you had a lovely weekend πŸ™‚ Our learning sheet looks a bit different this week. As it is the last week of term, we have designed a time table of daily activities for you to enjoy. Instructions for all of the activities will appear on the blog every morning but there might be some equipment you want to get in advance so I have made a list of items you will need below.

As always, if you need any help or have any questions, please use the comments section on the post and I will be happy to help. Have fun! πŸ™‚

Items you will need to get in advance:

Wednesday – jellybeans or mini marshmallows and wooden cocktail sticks.

Thursday – old newspaper and some sellotape or masking tape.

Year 5 English 10.07.2020

Watch the end of our dramatic story.

Today you can decide which task you prefer or maybe you could do both! πŸ™‚

Task 1 – Write an alternative ending to the story. What happens to Tranio and Livia in your version? Time guideline – This task should take at least 30 minutes to complete.

Task 2 – Imagine you were there. Write the story of what happened on that day in Pompeii from your perspective. Time guideline – This task should take at least 30 minutes to complete.

Our ‘Black Lives Matter’ Poster Competition Gallery

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to our virtual gallery! We are delighted to announce we have had over 70 sensational entries for our ‘Black Lives Matter’ poster competition. We weren’t planning to share all of them but they are simply too wonderful not to. All entries have organised into year groups so finding your entry should be easy.

Why don’t you spend some time looking at all of the entries? The Young Mayor and his advisors are going to have a very difficult job choosing their favourite. Which poster would you choose (apart from yours!) ? πŸ˜€

Once again, thank you for creating and sending your poster. We feel very proud to have a school packed with such talented, compassionate children.

The winning entry will be announced next week. Good Luck! πŸ™‚
