Take the Pugs of the Frozen North Quiz. How many can you answer?
Year 1 – The Magic Porridge Pot
We have been reading and enjoying the story of ‘The Magic Porridge Pot’.

Today, we took some porridge home with the instructions we had written last week.
When you cook your porridge at home DON’T FORGET THE MAGIC WORDS!
And…remember to add your favourite topping and enjoy!
Peg dolls 3AG
This week, we have made Victorian peg dolls for our topic.
First, we designed and labelled our peg doll. Also, we recorded the materials we needed.

The next day, we learnt how to make a peg doll and discussed the best order of the steps.
We all worked so hard and helped each other when needed.

As we were making our peg dolls, we were also recording the steps in our worksheet.

We really enjoyed this activity!

We three kings of Orient are
We three kings of Orient are;
bearing gifts we traverse afar,
field and fountain, moor and mountain,
following yonder star.
Chorus
O star of wonder, star of light,
star of royal beauty bright,
westward leading, still proceeding,
guide us to thy perfect light.
Born a King on Bethlehem’s plain,
gold I bring to crown him again,
King forever, ceasing never,
over us all to reign.
Chorus
Frankincense to offer have I;
incense owns a Deity nigh;
prayer and praising, voices raising,
worshiping God on high.
Chorus
Myrrh is mine; its bitter perfume
breathes a life of gathering gloom;
sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying,
sealed in the stone-cold tomb.
Chorus
Glorious now behold him arise;
King and God and sacrifice:
Alleluia Alleluia
The earth replies
Chorus
I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
From the bottom of my heart.
Feliz Navidad
Feliz Navidad
Feliz Navidad
Prospero Ano y Felicidad.
Feliz Navidad
Feliz Navidad
Feliz Navidad
Prospero Ano y Felicidad.
I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
From the bottom of my heart.
I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
From the bottom of my heart.

Over the ground lies a mantle of white
A heaven of diamonds shine down through the night
Two hearts are thrillin’ in spite of the chill in
the weather
Love knows no seasons, love knows no climb
Romance can blossom, any old time
Here in the open we’re walkin’ and hopin’
Together
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening?
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight
We’re happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland
Gone away is the bluebird
Here to stay is a new bird
To sing a love song
As we stroll along
Walking in a winter wonderland
In the meadow, we can build a snowman
We’ll pretend that he is Parson Brown
He’ll say, are you married?
We’ll say, no man
But you can do the job when you’re in town
Later on, we’ll conspire, As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid, The plans that we’ve made
Walking in a winter wonderland
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening?
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight
We’re happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland
Gone away is the bluebird
Here to stay is a new bird
To sing a love song
As we stroll along
Walking in a winter wonderland
In the meadow, we can build a snowman
We’ll pretend that he is Parson Brown
He’ll say, are you ready?
We’ll say, no man
But you can do the job when you’re in town
Later on, we’ll conspire, As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid, The plans that we’ve made Walking in a winter wonderland
Bah, Bah, Bah, Bah, Bah
Bah, Bah, Bah, Bah, Bah
Oh yeah!
Candles burnin’ low, Lots of mistletoe
Lots of snow and ice, Everywhere we go
Choirs singin’ carols, Right outside my door
All these things and more (all these things and more)
That’s what Christmas means to me my love
(That’s what Christmas means to me, my love)
Oh yeah
I see your smilin’ face, Like I never seen before
Even though I love ya madly, It seems I love you more
That little card you give me, Will touch my heart for sure
All these things and more (all these things and more)
That’s what Christmas means to me my love
(That’s what Christmas means to me my love)
I feel like runnin’ wild, As anxious as a little child
Greet you ‘neath the mistletoe, Kiss you once and then some more
I wish you a Merry Christmas baby
(I wish you a Merry Christmas baby)
And such happiness in the comin’ year
(And such happiness in the comin’ year)
Let’s deck the halls with holly
Sing sweet silent night
Fill the tree with angel hair
And pretty, pretty lights
Go to sleep and wake up
Just before daylight
All these things and more, (All these things and more)
That’s what Christmas means to me my love
(That’s what Christmas means to me my love)
All these things and more, (All these things and more)
That’s what Christmas means to me my love
(That’s what Christmas means to me my love)
Means to me
(Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah)
Means to me
(Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah)
Thatβs what Christmas means
Christmas means to me!
