Good morning Year 4! It is the final day of the school year, so today, I would like you to write an acrostic poem about summer.

That’s a strange dream, Hawa.
Can we write any word that makes sense
Yes! It should be something about summer. So S could be ~ sea, sandcastle, shells , sand. ..
Can I write mermaid and Merman?
Of course! ‘Mermaids splashing in the sea’ would make a good line for your poem.
I don’t know what to do with the U
Have a little think Hawa. It could be a whole sentence you write, rather than just one word. Perhaps you could use “Under the shade of the umbrella”, or “umbrellas up all along the beach”.
I thought you said the things in the sea. I didn’t know.
The word is ‘summer’ so ANYTHING that makes you think of summer ~ the sun, ice-cream, holiday…
